Being mystical hippies at heart Boredoms wanted to do something special to welcome the new millenium and so played this gig at dawn on the beach of Japan's southern-most island. It was an exciting time for the band, caught half way between
the more conventional drums/bass/guitar format of earlier and the drum-trio frenzies that have marked their career since.
This show still features Hira on bass and Yamamoto on guitar. The set opens with a slowly uncoiling space jam that builds to an epic climax (Boredoms being all about psychedelic climaxes of course!) before morphing into elements from their classic and then current Super AE and Vision Creation Newsun albums. I think this is a pretty rare and unusal show so if you're a Boredoms
fan you'll want it. Plenty more in the vault if there is interest...
