Gig Notes:

The band haven’t been to Glasgow in some time, so a great opportunity to catch up. Cuttys Gym and Yelt were the local support.

They played a large chunk of The Guillotine, the vinyl version being available from the merch table in advance of release. Cracking set and plenty of energy from the guys. Well impressed with the performance all round and especially enjoyed Joe's bass sound. The crowd were well up for it too. I had a great time, and being “well on” with the drink, I can be heard shouting encouragement from time to time. :-)

Unfortunately, I think there was a chance there could have been an encore available, but after the last body disappeared through the door upstairs, the cheering stopped and then the PA music came on. Glasgow appears to be unaware that some continuous cheering or clapping might be required to get he band back out again. What is it with people?

Recording notes and sound quality:

I shaved a tad of the bass and boosted volume by +5db. Recorded from near the centre, about 10 feet back, hence why the vocals are a bit lower in the mix than if I had been further back. Sounds petty decent.
