Notes

Notes: This is a matrix project of mine and stephen's (sml) recordings, professionaly mixed and mastered with some of my care and time. I dare to say that this is as good as it's going to get for an audio document from GYBE's reunion performances at ATP 2010. My source was basically a stack tape (first time I did such thing, as I was unhappy with the previous nights recordings), and while it resembles a SBD recording, it turned out to be too sterile and slightly saturated on bass. Stephen's recording is more of an ambient recording, capturing a nicer stereo image and concert ambience. After a few days invested in this project, I can say this is one of my finest releases, even if the source material was anything but perfect. GY!BE is a huge band with a huge sound, so mixing them in that tiny venue and stage couldn't have been an easy task for the soundman. A video recording featuring this audio will surface within a couple of weeks. Thanks to stephen for agreeing to this project, this wouldn't have been possible without him.
